Information You Give Me
When you fill out a form on this site, such as a home valuation request, a consultation request, a guide request, a relocation or private access inquiry, or a newsletter sign-up, I receive what you enter. That can include your name, email address, phone number, property address, the areas and price range you are interested in, your timing and any message you write.
Information Collected Automatically
This site uses the Google tag (Google Analytics 4) to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), your general location at the city level, and your device and browser type. It does not give me your name or contact details. Google's handling of this data is described in its policy on how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.
Your browser may send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to it, this site does not change its behavior when it receives one; the opt-out options above are available instead.

I do not sell or rent your personal information. It is shared only:
- With service providers that run this site and my communications, such as Netlify (website hosting and form handling), Google (analytics) and my email and customer relationship tools, who may use it only to provide those services
- With my brokerage, Ivester Jackson Distinctive Properties, as required for real estate business and records
- With other professionals involved in your transaction, such as a lender, attorney or inspector, only when you ask me to make that introduction
- When required by law or to protect rights and safety
Email and Text Messages
You will receive the newsletter or marketing email only if you sign up for it. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also reply or contact me to stop. If you give me your phone number, I may call or text you about your request. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
Home Search
The property search linked from this site runs on my brokerage's website, davidstrause.ivesterjackson.com, which has its own privacy policy. Links to other sites, such as YouTube, Instagram and Zillow, are governed by those sites' policies.
How Long Information Is Kept
I keep your information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide services, and meet the record-keeping rules that apply to real estate brokers, and then delete it or keep it only in records the law requires.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask to see the personal information I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can opt out of marketing at any time. Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under state law. To make a request, email davids@ivesterjackson.com or call 704-437-2023. I will not treat you differently for making a request.
Security
This site is served only over an encrypted (https) connection, and form submissions are handled by the hosting provider rather than stored on the site itself. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send financial account numbers or other highly sensitive details through a website form.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
