MEET DAVID J. STRAUSE

David J. Strause has called Charlotte home for most of his life.  He comes from an entrepreneurial background, growing up in a family business of retail clothing stores. This experience taught him the value of hard work and delivering exceptional customer service. After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill, David obtained his real estate license in 1987 and started his career in real estate before earning an MBA and working overseas for two years. For twenty years, he worked in the mortgage industry where he became a top ranked mortgage banker in New York and later worked as a business consultant to mortgage companies.

David earned top honors as Wells Fargo's top-ranked mortgage banker nationally in new construction lending with over $110,000,000 originated in a single year. David has experience working with developers and luxury sales teams as the finance partner for over 2,500 new condominiums in 11 buildings including The Link, The Edge, 555 West 23rd Street, 325 Fifth Avenue, 225 Fifth Avenue, and The Plaza. Over his career, David has financed hundreds of millions in mortgages, and helped over 600 clients purchase their dream home. David loves helping people through the entire real estate process and has a passion for excellence and the ability to deliver exceptional outcomes, making him a true asset to have on your team.

Outside of work, David enjoys being active, spending time at the coast, playing tennis, and being involved in his sons after-school activities. David resides in South Charlotte with his wife, son, and two very active Jack Russells.
